Athlemic ("we", "our", "us") operates the Athlemic mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account Information: Name, email address, country, and city when you create an account via Apple Sign-In.
Profile Data: For athletes — date of birth, height, weight, positions, dominant foot, level, club affiliation, languages, bio, and availability. For clubs — club name, league, facilities, youth age groups, sought positions, budget, contact email, and website.
Videos: Video clips you upload, including associated metadata (position, type, tags, duration).
Messages: Content of messages exchanged between users within the app.
Profile Photos: Avatar or logo images you choose to upload.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and maintain your account
To display your profile to other users (athletes visible to clubs, clubs visible to athletes)
To enable direct messaging between athletes and clubs
To show relevant search announcements in athlete feeds
To improve our services and user experience

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage). Data is hosted on Google Cloud servers within the European Union region. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Your profile information is visible to other registered users of the app based on your role:

Athlete profiles are visible to clubs searching for talent.
Club profiles and search announcements are visible to athletes.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
Rectification: Update or correct your data via profile editing.
Erasure: Delete your account and all associated data from Settings.
Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
Objection: Object to processing of your personal data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data, profile information, and uploaded videos are permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app may be used by minors (athletes under 18). We require parental consent for users under 16 years of age. We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our services. Parents or guardians can request deletion of their child's data at any time.

8. Third-Party Services

Apple Sign-In: Used for authentication. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Google Firebase: Used for data storage and authentication. See Firebase Privacy.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure authentication via Apple Sign-In, and Firebase security rules to protect your data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.
